ELECTROCARDIOGRAM
The electrocardiogram is a diagnostic test that allows the electrical activity of the heart to be detected and graphically analyzed. Through this test, it is possible to identify the possible presence of a cardiac rhythm disorder and the alterations caused by coronary diseases, exclude some primitive electrical diseases of the heart, suspect some forms of cardiomyopathy, etc.
What is it for and when is it done?
The ECG allows doctors to determine how the heart's stimulus is spread, the state of the fiber system that spreads the stimulus throughout the heart muscle, and the condition of the myocardium being examined.
The electrocardiogram, which lasts only a few minutes, is performed during the cardiology visit, given that this test serves to evaluate:
HEART RATE AND ITS REGULARITY
THE ONSET OF ISCHEMIC SUFFERING
PALPITATIONS
ISCHEMIC HEART DISEASE IN ITS VARIOUS CLINICAL FORMS
MYOCARDIAL INFARCTION
ANGINA PECTORIS
ARRHYTHMIAS
CONDUCTION DISORDERS
HEART VALVE DISEASES
HEART FAILURE
