DYNAMIC PRESSURE MONITORING
Holter Pressure or Dynamic Monitoring of Arterial Pressure is a test that allows the recording of arterial pressure continuously for 24 hours, thanks to a device connected to a cable and a cuff that is wrapped around the patient's arm. The recorder stores all the measurements of Arterial Pressure every 15 minutes during the day and every 30 minutes at night.
What is it for and when is it done?
Holter blood pressure monitoring, which usually lasts 24 hours, is indicated in the following situations:
To diagnose if there is high blood pressure
Before starting a drug therapy;
To check whether the therapy you are taking is appropriate
In patients who have unstable arterial hypertension
